The media landscape is changing faster than ever. As we feel the impact of the recession, MediaRadar is monitoring which advertisers shifting ad spend each week. This will give you the most updated view of the ad sales landscape.

Here is a full list of advertising changes by category. (Don’t worry, it’s ungated)

Here are some key takeaways from advertising shifts that took place during the week of November 21, 2022. Media & Entertainment is a category that is experiencing growth at the end of 2022. While there are many drivers of this growth, a holiday push may play a part. The data revealed subscription streaming services, game titles, and drama shows surged this week.

The Technology category is also experiencing an increase in ad spend this week. The holidays are a great time to give the latest gadgets and other tech. We see telecommunication providers, cell phones, and prepaid wireless providers bumped ad spend WoW. ‘Tis the season to secure and protect because home security systems are also up week-over-week.

The Pharma category experienced a week-over-week increase in advertising investment despite a recent decrease in arthritis prescriptions medication. Ad spend for pharma companies, diabetes prescriptions, and HIV/AIDS prescriptions increased WoW.

MediaRadar also observed an increase in Finance advertising from week to week. The insurance category contracted their ad budget the week of Nov. 14th, but ad spend increased WoW the next. We noticed some parts of the finance category to be increasing ad spend this week such as financial institutions and investment firms.
