Amid this new landscape, however, there remains mixed consumer sentiment toward business travel as well as a large gap between current volume and pre-pandemic comparables. Dodge Momentum Index Recovers in February

The Dodge Momentum Index increased 4% in February to 158.2 (2000=100), from the revised January reading of 151.9. The Momentum Index, issued by Dodge Construction Network, is a monthly measure of the initial report for nonresidential building projects in planning, which have been shown to lead construction spending for nonresidential buildings by a full year. In February, institutional planning rose 9%, and commercial planning moved 1% higher. U.S. Mortgage Delinquency Rate At A Record Low in December

The nation’s overall delinquency rate was 3.4% in December. All stages of delinquencies showed year-over-year decreases in December. In December 2021, 3.4% of home mortgages were in some stage of delinquency (30 days or more past due, including those in foreclosure) , which was a 2.4-percentage point decrease from December 2020 according to the latest CoreLogic Loan Performance Insights Report. This is the lowest recorded overall delinquency rate in the U.S. since at least January 1999.

Kinsa’s data shows that national respiratory illness activity is slightly decreasing, and remains below normal seasonal illness levels. Our data also shows that national respiratory illness activity among children 0-12 (which was increasing last week) has started to decrease, likely driving national illness levels down overall. As mask mandates are lifted in schools across the country, we’re closely monitoring illness activity in school-aged kids.
